The Association is submitting recommended changes to the organization’s Bylaws for approval by the membership. The changes are substantial and generally fall into three categories:
- Updates related to changes in the law or advice of legal counsel
- Recommended or updated practices based on current association best practices
- Technical changes or clarifying language
There are four documents for your review:
- Current Bylaws
- Current Bylaws with proposed changes (markups and comments)
- Proposed Bylaws - no markup, clean copy
- Proposed Bylaw additions to Policy Manual
Per our current Bylaws, proposed amendments to the Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation shall be sent to the membership at least thirty (30) days prior to the annual business meeting (taking place on Nov. 5, 2025). They may be adopted by a two-thirds vote of the Active, Senior and Associate Members present and voting. As a member you are asked to review the changes in advance and then vote on whether or not to accept the recommendations. Note that our bylaws include legally reviewed language and updates which were completed in 2016 by our attorney, Mark Alcorn. Further revisions are anticipated as may be needed and in order to remain consistent with National AUA Bylaws.
